The Alchemist Has Arrived

Everyone is so worried about Beyonce not getting album of the year but yet, nobody is talking about this album enough for me. It’s a masterpiece! Lil Yachty's "Let’s Start Here" is a unique and modern take on hip-hop. It’s like a perfect blend of Andre 3000, CeeLo Green via Gnarls Barkley, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Kurt Cobain.

While he doesn't have the same level of lyrical finesse as André 3000 YET, his youthful energy and playful delivery sets him apart from the rest. It reminds me of when CeeLo created Gnarls Barkley and wasn’t afraid to take risks and experiment with different sounds and genres. The album's diverse range of influences and creative production showcase Lil Yachty's musical cultivation, much like Gnarls Barkley's innovative approach to music.

Musically, the album reminds me of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' eclectic style, as well as a touch of Kurt Cobain's raw, unapologetic attitude. However, Lil Yachty has created a sound that is entirely his own, blending elements of different genres to create a time traveling listening experience. The transitions into each track paint a beautiful story. Every day I have a new favorite and I’m wondering what was Lil Yachty on and where can I get some.

One of my favorite tracks is "drive Me crazy!" The song exudes a feel-good energy with its upbeat tempo and catchy hook. The combination of Lil Yachty's harmony and the infectious beat make it the perfect song to put you in a good mood. It almost takes me back to Studio 54 or what I imagine they would play during that era. The track proves that Lil Yachty can create feel-good music that appeals to a worldwide audience. It is a gem!

Overall, "Let’s Start Here" is so impressive. It showcases Lil Yachty's unique style and versatility as an artist. Whether you're a fan of hip-hop, alternative rock, or just good music, there's something for everyone on this album. This album seamlessly blended different genres and created a unique sound which puts him ahead of his time and solidifies his position as a true visionary in the world of hip-hop, rock, punk, and anything in between. I am now a huge fan and cannot what to see where he goes next.
