Hi! I’m Jaimee,
A Life Enthusiast & Writer
I am a balance of wild and peace. I have transformed myself more times than I can count. I’ve embedded my energy in many sectors of the entertainment and business world. My reach is worldwide, and my command on anything I touch is instantly apparent.
I hail from the underground Ballroom scene. You may be familiar with shows such as Pose or Legendary on HBO Max. I made an immaculate impact on the LGBTQIA community through Ballroom for Cisgender women. I came onto the Ballroom Scene in late 1995. Since then, I have been one of the most consistent women in a male-dominated world. I am known for walking face, and I am an Icon for my category. I am also in two Ballroom Hall of Fames (NY and Philly). I command attention when I walk in a room, and I am not just a leader and a teacher but also a student still learning to make my craft better with time.
I originally started walking balls in the Legendary House of Jourdan. There, I was granted the opportunity to become a house mother. In 2001, I left the House of Jourdan and took my motherhood and lessons to the next level and became the first NJ/NY Mother of the Iconic House of Balenciaga. That next year I broke several records at the NY Awards Ball. I won Face of the Year for the seventh year in a row and was the first Cisgender woman to be awarded Mother of the Year. I also help cultivate a division of the Ballroom scene dedicated to Ciswomen, Butch women, and Transexual men. Additionally, I was featured in the movie How Do I Look, which focused on key players in the Ballroom Scene. I was also one of the ten people hand-picked by Fergie from the Black Eye Peas to represent the Ballroom Scene at the annual Love Ball in Austria in May 2013.
Later down the road I started lending my voice and knowledge to create a talk show called The Bittersweet Show. I created, wrote, and produced this all on my own. From 2018-2021, I hit the airwaves, as the co-host of Storytime with Legendary Jerry Podcast. Our guests have included a widespan of the most influential entertainers such as Killer Mike, T.I., T-Boz, Cee-Lo, Waka Flaka, to name a few. I also had my hands in serval major events in Atlanta, GA including Mayor Keisha Bottoms’s birthday party, the Super Bowl, and an Atlanta themed renovation of Krystal’s to name a few. Additionally, I am a consultant for Urban Home Entertainment, the most prominent Black movie and television distribution company, with a focus on comedy. We manage deals with Amazon, Tubi, and Sirus XM. My first deal was with comedian, Donnell Rawlings.
I will continue to use my passions and gifts to evoke change around me through writing stories and creating dope experiences. I stand strong as an astute businesswoman, LGBTQIA activist and ally, innovator, and masterful creator. My ideas and talents are unstoppable. I am committed to myself and my community. The world will see a lot more of me, and I will change a lot more of the world.
